Camp Fire Afterschool Program at Bend International School for the 23-24 School Year

Aftercare at Bend International School is run by Camp Fire Afterschool (CFA). CFA is a flexible and fun option for families looking to balance after school care with enrichment opportunities and social-emotional skill development. CFA supports youth in exploring their sparks, practicing social skills, creating connections, building community, and gaining confidence.

Mountain Biking, Soccer, Track & Field Registration See below (Scholarships available for all programs- based on financial need (request) and NFRL status)

Team BIS Mountain Biking with BEA: April 15th – May 20th. Mondays from 3:30pm – 6:30pm. BIS families can register directly on the BEA Wesbsite. BEA mountain bike coaches will pick up BIS students directly from school at 3:30pm and bring them to the trails for coaching and guided riding. At the end of the session, riders will be picked up by parents or caretakers at the trailhead at 6:30pm. More information is available on the BEA Mountain Biking Page under Team BIS. If anyone is in need of a loaner bike or tuition assistance, please reach out to conor@bendenduranceacademy.org

Climbing Club:  (10 spots available)Thursdays with Maestro Mateo.  Grades 4-8.  3:30-5:00   Meet in the BIS gym.  Students will learn the basics of bouldering and climbing and have fun climbing with friends. 1st Day of class will take place at BIS Gym and Rock Wall.  Starting the 2nd day of class, students and teacher will walk to the Circuit Climbing Gym to learn about and experience bouldering.  Parents will pick students up at 5:00 at the Circuit.  $150/program, includes equipment (shoe) rental and Circuit fees.  Limited scholarships due to extra fees from the Climbing Gym.   Class is capped at 10.  Sign up soon! Art: Ceramics: (16 spots available)Wednesdays with Maestra Jill-  Grades 4-8: 2:00-3:00 in the 6th grade classroom:  $80/session

Ukulele: Tuesdays with Maestro Ian – Grades 3-8: 3:30-4:15/ 9 week session April 9-June 4th/  $80/session in the Music Room

BIS Band:  Tuesday Mornings with Maestro Ian-  Grades 5-8/ (1 year experience with instrument required); 8:15-9:00 am in Music Room 9 week session $80/ April 9-June 4. 

Middle School Soccer Team: (20 spots available) Various dates (TBD) in April/May. Student-athletes must be in middle school at BIS to participate. This is a coed team. We will be holding a few practices and playing in a “Jamboree” (a set of games in quick succession at one location vs. other MS teams). Cost is $25 per participant. BIS Soccer Webpage

Middle School Track and Field: Various dates in April and May Those interested in participating in Track and Field will have to do so with their “neighborhood” school as BIS does not have the resources/facilities to host a team. Many of our students have been successful while competing in Track and Field with their home MS. More information is found on our athletics website with links to the teams you could join:
