Before Care 2026-27 School Year

At Bend International School, we provide a before school care option for families to support work schedules. The program runs from 7:30 am to 8:40 am each day, after which our grounds are open for all students until 8:55 am when they go into class. Before care begins on September 10th.

  • K – 4 studentsย – Arrive at the drop off circle and enter the Big Room. Rotating activities will be provided, alongside PBS Sesame Street and access to the playground.
  • 5 – 8 students – Arrive at the drop off circle and enter the Gym. Rotating activities will be provided, including gym-based activities.
The cost for this program is $300 per year, which covers flexible use of the program by day and time. Cost for an additional sibling(s) is $200 per year.ย Payment plans are available.

Scholarships are available for all eligible students based on eligibility for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).ย Additional requests will be reviewed based on need.

Camp Fire Afterschool Program at Bend International School for the 25-26 School Year

Aftercare at Bend International School is run by Camp Fire Afterschool (CFA). CFA is a flexible and fun option for families looking to balance after school care with enrichment opportunities and social-emotional skill development. CFA supports youth in exploring their sparks, practicing social skills, creating connections, building community, and gaining confidence.

We are excited to offer a variety of enrichment opportunities for BIS students this fall. These programs are provided by experienced instructors and community partners and are designed to help students explore new interests, build skills, and have fun with their classmates.

๐ŸŽต BIS Band with Maestro Austin

  • Grades: 5โ€“8
  • Day/Time: Tuesdays, 8:15โ€“9:00 AM (before school)
  • Dates: September 16 โ€“ November 11
  • Location: BIS Music Room
  • Cost: $100
  • Prerequisite: 1+ year experience on an instrument
  • Description: Join Maestro Austin for a fun early-morning band experience! Students with at least one year of instrumental experience will build their musical skills while performing together in a supportive ensemble.

  • Grades: Grades 3โ€“8
  • Day/Time: Tuesdays, 3:30โ€“4:30 PM

  • Description: Learn the basics of parkour in a safe, fun, and energetic outdoor environment! Using Eric’s new mobile parkour gym set up on campus, students will build strength, coordination, confidence, and problem-solving skills through movement and play.

๐ŸŽช Circus Club with Lava City Cirque (Kโ€“2)

  • Grades: Kโ€“2
  • Day/Time: Wednesdays, 2:00โ€“3:30 PM
  • Dates: September 16 โ€“ October 14 (5-week session)
  • Location: Lava City Cirque Studio
  • Cost: $115
  • Capacity: 10 students
  • Description: Step right up and join the circus! Students will explore aerial arts including silks, trapeze, and hoop while building strength, confidence, and coordination through games and guided instruction. No experience is necessary.
  • Transportation: Students will be walked from BIS to Lava City Cirque by an instructor. Parents should pick up students at 3:30 PM from Lava City Cirque Studio, 63075 Crusher Ave. #105, Bend, OR 97703.

  • Grades: 2โ€“5
  • Day/Time: Wednesdays, 2:00โ€“3:00 PM
  • Dates: September 15 โ€“ October 21 (6-week session)
  • Location: 3rd Grade Classroom
  • Cost: $115 ($100 tuition + $15 supply fee)
  • Capacity: 13 students
  • Description: This hands-on class introduces students to healthy cooking while exploring how whole foods can fuel focus, creativity, and energy. Students will prepare and enjoy a variety of delicious recipes together.

  • Day/Time: Thursdays, 3:30โ€“5:00 PM
  • Dates: September 17 โ€“ October 22 (6-week session)
  • Location: BIS Blacktop

  • Capacity: 20 students
  • Description: Whether you’re stepping on a skateboard for the first time or looking to improve your skills, this class offers expert instruction in a fun and supportive environment. Skateboards are provided, or students may bring their own. Helmets are required; knee and elbow pads are highly recommended.

  • Description: Join the BIS Dance Team and explore movement, teamwork, and performance in a fun and encouraging environment. Students will learn choreography, build confidence, and work together toward group performances. No prior dance experience is required, just bring a positive attitude and a willingness to move! ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ

  • Registration is first-come, first-served until programs are full.

  • Programs require minimum enrollment to run. If a program is canceled due to low enrollment, registered families will receive a full refund.
