Bend International School is a free, public charter school serving grades K–8. We combine academic rigor with belonging through project-based learning that connects students from local to global. The application window for the 2026–2027 school year lottery is now open:
Monday, January 5, 2026 – Friday, March 20, 2026
Applications must be submitted by 2:00 PM on March 20, 2026 to be included in the lottery. We hold multiple information sessions to help you learn more about our community.

Families are encouraged to attend an information session to learn more about our program. We have sessions in the morning, mid-day, and in the evening to support participation and access.

Bend International School Admissions Policy

Bend International School (BIS) serves all students from any Central Oregon school district who seek an innovative and international education. Applications are available on the school website and can be requested by telephone or email. Inquiries can be made at 541-797-7038 or alisha@bendinternationalschool.org.
If there are more applicants than spots available per class, BIS will hold a lottery to fill these spots. BIS will draw the names of all of the students who applied, and assemble a class list and a waitlist, in the order drawn. Students will have a 1 week period to decide whether they would like to commit to attend Bend International School. (This date will be announced on the website, and in the letter of acceptance).
Priority will be given to:
- Children of staff
- Siblings of current students
Applicants will retain their lottery number and be placed on the waitlist, however applications must be resubmitted each year by the lottery application deadline expressing intent to enroll if a spot becomes available.
If there are spaces available after the cutoff date in any of our classes, BIS will continue to enroll students, in the order in which their applications are received.

Debe aplicar cada año escolar para mantener activa la solicitud. Conservará su número de lotería y su lugar en la lista de espera; sin embargo, las solicitudes deben volver a presentarse cada año, expresando su intención de inscribirse si hay un lugar disponible.
Si hay espacios disponibles después de la fecha de corte en cualquiera de nuestras clases, BIS seguirá inscribiendo a los estudiantes, en el orden en que reciben sus solicitudes.
