Before Care 2025-26 School Year

At Bend International School, we provide a before school care option for families to support work schedules. The program runs from 7:30 am to 8:40 am each day, after which our grounds are open for all students until 8:55 am when they go into class. Before care begins on September 4th.

To better meet the needs of our students who access before care, we have made the following changes for the 2025-26 school year.
  • K – 4 students – Arrive at the drop off circle and enter the Big Room. Rotating activities will be provided, alongside PBS Sesame Street and access to the playground.
  • 5 – 8 students – Arrive at the drop off circle and enter the Gym. Rotating activities will be provided, including gym-based activities.
The cost for this program is $300 per year, which covers flexible use of the program by day and time. Cost for an additional sibling(s) is $200 per year. Payment plans are available.

Scholarships are available for all eligible students based on eligibility for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Additional requests will be reviewed based on need.

Camp Fire Afterschool Program at Bend International School for the 25-26 School Year

Aftercare at Bend International School is run by Camp Fire Afterschool (CFA). CFA is a flexible and fun option for families looking to balance after school care with enrichment opportunities and social-emotional skill development. CFA supports youth in exploring their sparks, practicing social skills, creating connections, building community, and gaining confidence.

We are excited to offer the following co-curricular offerings this spring for BIS students:

Club Offerings:

👩‍🍳 Mini Little Chefs Class w/Teresa 

  • Grades: 2–5
  • Day/Time: Tuesdays, 3:30–4:30 PM
  • Location: 3rd Grade Classroom
  • Dates: April 7 – April 28  (4-week session)
  • Cost: $70 ($60 class + $10 supply cost)
  • Capacity: 13 students
  • Description: This is a hands-on, interactive class where kids discover how whole foods can fuel focus, creativity, and energy. 

🛹 Skateboarding with BoardHouse

  • Grades: 4-8
  • Day/Time: Tuesdays, 3:30–5:00 PM
  • Dates: April 28 – June 2 (6-week session)
  • Location: BIS Black Top
  • Cost: $115 
  • Capacity: 20 students
  • Description: Learn to skate and build confidence on a board! Boards provided or bring your own. Helmet required. Knee/elbow pads highly recommended. (Please let us know if you need to borrow gear)

🎭 Drama Club with CoCreated

  • Grades: 5–8
  • Day/Time: Wednesdays, 2:00–3:15 PM
  • Location: Music Room
  • Dates: April 8 – May 27 (8-week session)
  • Cost: $79
  • Capacity: 15 students
  • Description:Drama Club is a collaborative, confidence-building space where students explore acting, improvisation, storytelling, and performance. There will be a final performance on June 6th and 7th during a CoCreated Showcase

🎨 Art Exploration Club with Fun works

  • Grades: 3-8
  • Day/Time: Thursdays, 3:30–4:30 PM
  • Location: 6th Grade Classroom
  • Dates: April 9 – June 4
  • Cost: $100 + $15 for supplies
  • Capacity: 20 students
  • Description: The Art Exploration club does 8-10 mixed media projects that combine art history and artistic exploration through imaginative and creative art projects

🧘‍♀️ Kids Yoga, Music & Movement with Lisa

  • Grades: K–2 
  • Day/Time: Thursdays, 3:30–4:45 PM
  • Location: Music Room
  • Dates: April 16 – May 21 (6-week session)
  • Cost: $110
  • Capacity: 12 students 
  • Description: A yoga class designed to help kids unwind, move, and connect! Each week features playful yoga poses, music, creative movement, and a mindfulness-themed art project. Through age-appropriate games and themed activities, students build strength, flexibility, focus, and body awareness—all while having fun.

🧗 Climbing Club with Maestro Mateo

  • Grades: 4–8 
  • Day/Time: Thursdays, 3:30–5:00 PM (5:15 PM pickup starting session 4)
  • Location: Session 1: BIS Gym Sessions 2–6: The Circuit Climbing Gym
  • Dates: April 23 – June 4 (6 Week Session)
  • Cost: $125 (includes equipment rental & gym fees)
  • Capacity: 10 students
  • Circuit Gym Waiver required, Parent pickup at The Circuit Climbing Gym – 5:00 PM (5:15 PM starting session 4)
  • Description: Students will learn the fundamentals of indoor rock climbing in a fun, supportive environment

🎵 BIS Band with Maestro Austin

  • Grades: 5–8
  • Day/Time: Tuesdays, 8:15–9:00 AM (before school)
  • Location: BIS Music Room
  • Dates: April 7 – June 2
  • Cost: $100
  • Prerequisite: 1+ year experience on an instrument
