Fieldwork is a dynamic extension of the classroom that
transforms academic learning into meaningful, real-world experience.

Through off-campus academics and immersive exploration, students develop confidence, resilience,
and life skills that simply cannot be taught within four classroom walls.
At Bend International School, overnight field experiences begin in 4th grade and expand each year.
Middle school students culminate their journey with an international cultural exchange and
service-learning trip to our sister school in Mexico — applying classroom learning in a global context.
